A three-piece ball valve is a valve that swings open at both ends to allow easy access to the interior of the valve for maintenance and repair. Replacing the seat and seal is cheaper than replacing the entire valve and requires removing the tube connector, eliminating the need to shut down the plant if maintenance is required.
